Corp Resident Tree Work Notice
All Gibson Island property owners must provide notice to the Corporation prior to undertaking the removal of any tree with a trunk exceeding six inches in diameter as measured 54 inches from the ground (“Tree Work”).
Except as described below, a Tree Work Notice must be delivered at least two business days prior to the commencement of Tree Work. In the case of any tree that, based on the judgment of a professional forester, certified arborist, or the Island General Manager, poses the imminent threat of physical harm to any person or material damage to any home or other structure, a Tree Notice must be delivered as soon as reasonably practicable prior to the commencement of the related Tree Work, but in any event prior to the commencement of such Tree Work.
Please note that these Tree Work Notification Requirements apply only to Tree Work on your property. To the extent that you wish to conduct Tree Work on property other than your own (including property owned by the Corporation or the Gibson Island Community Association) both a Tree Work Notice and the written approval of the property owner are required.
