The Gibson Island Garden Club was established in 1926, by Residents of the Island who wanted to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of gardening and to protect and enhance the natural beauties of the community. They meet monthly, enjoy field trips and educational programs throughout the State of Maryland.
Golf Members have the opportunity to play one of the most beautiful nine-hole courses in the area. Designed by Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth J. Raynor, our award-winning course has mature trees lining the fairways and rolling topography that afford opportunities for a great variety of interesting golf holes. Members have unlimited access to the course, along with a practice range to perfect their game. A fully stocked Pro Shop and lessons are available.
The Salty Marks House & Museum, run by Historical Society Members, houses a wealth of information about the Island’s history as well as a wonderful collection of artifacts from around the Island and surrounding Chesapeake Bay area.
Mountain Bar Point & Pavilion
At the southern tip of the Island, the sandy shores of the Magothy River and the Chesapeake Bay provide hours of summertime fun for all ages.

Our non-denominational and member-directed Church offers Sunday morning services.
Swimming & Playground
Our swimming pool, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, is open seasonally to Club Members. Locker Rooms and a Snack Bar are just steps away in the Clubhouse.
Our shaded playground is located next to the pool area.
Our tennis facility features six hydro-tennis courts, two asphalt courts, platform tennis, and a fully stocked Pro Shop.
Peaceful Red House Cove, Light House Dock, and the Gibson Island Harbor, are perfect places for our members to moor or dock their boat. Gibson Island Yacht Squadron Members enjoy a beautiful Boathouse with exquisite views of the Chesapeake Bay and the Gibson Island Harbor. They participate in sanctioned yacht club races, Wednesday race night, organized cruises, and the Jr. Fleet program. Located in Red House Cove, Gibson Island Boat Works is a full service yacht yard.
Our Gibson Island Club Camp, Golf and Tennis Academies and Junior Fleet Sailing Program are a summer tradition for Club Members and their guests. Various kid-centered activities are also offered throughout the year. Ping-pong, a large playground, and a Children's Room in the Clubhouse, are also available.
